Track a Breakout evaluation
Breakout has no API, so you enter your balance by hand. Each evaluation gets its own account and a challenge that checks Breakout's rules for you.
Breakout doesn't offer an API, so Flowsense can't read your Breakout account automatically. Instead you tell Flowsense your balance after you trade, and it does the maths: how much you can still lose today, how far you are from the max drawdown floor, and how close you are to the profit target.
What Flowsense creates for each evaluation
- A dedicated account (for example *Breakout · Pro $25K*). Its trades and balance never mix with your exchange accounts.
- A prop challenge on the Prop challenges page with Breakout's rules: daily loss, max drawdown and profit target, shown as live meters.
- A balance history: every balance you enter, with time and an optional note.
Set it up
- 1Open Integrations and, on the Breakout card (marked *Manual · no API*), press Track a Breakout evaluation.
- 2Choose the Evaluation: Classic, Pro, Turbo, Funded or Custom. The rules fill in from Breakout's published values.
- 3Choose the Account size: tap a preset ($5K to $200K) or type any amount in Custom amount (USD).
- 4Set the Start date. If the evaluation is already under way and the balance is no longer the account size, fill Balance on the start date.
- 5Check the Rules. Every value can be changed: profit target (leave empty for none), max daily loss, max drawdown and its type, what the daily loss is measured from, and the daily reset time.
- 6Optionally add a Label (for example *October attempt*) and press Create evaluation.
Breakout's rules, and how Flowsense applies them
| Evaluation | Profit target | Max daily loss | Max drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Step Classic | 10% | 3% | 6% static |
| 1-Step Pro | 12% | 3% | 5% static |
| 1-Step Turbo | 9% | 3% | 3% static |
- Max daily loss is 3% of your balance at 00:30 UTC (open positions excluded), recalculated every day at that time. That's 00:30 in Lisbon in winter and 01:30 in summer. Flowsense uses the same reset whatever your timezone.
- Max drawdown is static: a fixed floor below your starting balance that never moves, even when you're in profit.
- Profit target is a percentage of the starting balance. Breakout upgrades the account as soon as you reach it.
- Breakout has no consistency rule, no minimum trading days and no time limit, and allows up to 10x leverage.
Example: a Pro $25K evaluation
- Profit target 12%: reach $28,000 to pass.
- Max drawdown 5% static: the balance must stay above $23,750, always.
- Max daily loss 3%: if your balance at 00:30 UTC is $25,400, today's floor is $25,400 − $762 = $24,638. Tomorrow it's recalculated from tomorrow's 00:30 balance.
- The challenge card shows how much room you have left before each floor, and warns you at 50% and 80% of a limit.
Keep it up to date
- 1After trading, open the Breakout card and press Update balance.
- 2Type the Balance from your Breakout dashboard. If you still have open positions, also type the Equity: it counts toward today's limits for 24 hours.
- 3Set As of to the time the balance is from (it defaults to now) and press Save.
Want your trades in the journal too, for analytics and the AI coach? Use the card's Add trade and Import CSV links, or a screenshot: they open with the Breakout account already selected. Logging trades is optional. Your balance entries are what the rules are checked against.
The balance you type is the source of truth. If you also log trades, each balance entry reconciles them, so fees, funding or a missing trade never make the numbers drift.
Edit, archive or delete
- Edit: change the size, rules, start date or label at any time. Picking another evaluation type keeps your values; press Use … preset values to reset them to Breakout's.
- Balance history: edit or delete any entry except the starting balance.
- Archive: stops tracking the challenge but keeps the account, trades and balances. Restore it from *Archived evaluations* on the card.
- Delete: permanently removes the account with all its trades, balance history and challenge. You type the account name to confirm. It can't be undone.
Rules were checked on breakoutprop.com on 2026-10-29 and can change. Compare them with your Breakout dashboard and edit the evaluation if they differ. Funded and Custom start with Classic's loss limits and no target, so set them to match your account. Older 2-Step and Spark evaluations have different rules: use Custom.
Questions
- Why doesn't Flowsense sync with Breakout automatically?
- Breakout doesn't offer an API or a documented trade export, so there's nothing to connect to. Typing your balance takes a few seconds and keeps the rule checks accurate.
- Do I have to log every trade?
- No. The rules only need your balance. Logging trades adds analytics, your journal and AI coaching for that account.
- Can I track more than one Breakout evaluation?
- Yes. Each is its own account and challenge. Free includes 1 account, Pro 3 and Elite unlimited, so on Free a Breakout evaluation uses your only account.
- What's the difference between balance and equity?
- Balance excludes open positions; equity includes their profit or loss. Breakout sets the daily floor from the balance, but losses on open positions still count against it, so typing equity while positions are open gives you a more honest picture.
- Does the Trade Desk enforce Breakout rules?
- No. You trade on Breakout's own terminal, so there's nothing to block in Flowsense. The meters and push alerts warn you instead.
- Do Breakout trades count on the leaderboard?
- No. They're entered by hand, so they're never marked as verified.
