FAQ

How is the liquidation price calculated?
You are liquidated when your collateral minus the unrealised loss falls to the maintenance margin. For an isolated long that is roughly entry × (1 − 1/leverage) ÷ (1 − maintenance rate). At 10× with a 0.5% rate, a $50,000 long liquidates near $45,226.
What is the difference between isolated and cross margin?
Isolated margin only risks the margin you assign to the position, so liquidation comes sooner. Cross margin uses your whole futures wallet as collateral: liquidation is further away, but a bad trade can take the whole balance.
Why is my exchange's liquidation price different?
Exchanges add fees, funding, unrealised PnL from other positions and their own tier tables, which change by symbol. This tool uses simplified tiers and no fees, so treat it as an estimate and check the exchange before you trade.
Does a stop loss protect me from liquidation?
Only if it sits before the liquidation price. Place the stop first, then pick a leverage low enough that liquidation is further away than the stop.
