FAQ
- What is trading expectancy?
- The average result per trade in R (multiples of the amount risked): win rate × average win − loss rate × average loss. Positive expectancy means the strategy makes money over many trades.
- What is an R-multiple?
- Profit or loss divided by the initial risk. If you risk $100 and make $250, the trade is +2.5R. Measuring in R lets you compare trades of any size.
- What win rate do I need to break even?
- Average loss ÷ (average win + average loss). With 2R winners and 1R losers you break even at 33.3%.
