Leverage doesn't change your risk; the stop does. Liquidation is an isolated-margin estimate with 0.5% maintenance margin and no fees. Exchanges use tiered margin, so check theirs before you trade. Highest leverage that keeps the liquidation beyond this stop: 49×.

FAQ

How do you calculate position size?
Position size = amount you are willing to lose ÷ distance from entry to stop. With a $10,000 account, 1% risk and a stop $500 below a $50,000 entry, you risk $100, so the size is 0.2 BTC.
Does leverage change how much I risk?
No. Your stop and position size set the risk. Leverage only changes how much margin the position locks up and how close the liquidation price is.
Why does my stop need to be before liquidation?
If the liquidation price is closer than your stop, the exchange closes the position first and you can lose more than you planned. Lower the leverage until the liquidation price is beyond the stop.
