FAQ

What is a funding rate?
A periodic payment between long and short holders of a perpetual future that keeps its price close to spot. Positive funding means longs pay shorts; negative means shorts pay longs.
Why do you show an 8-hour rate?
Exchanges settle funding on different schedules (Hyperliquid every hour, most others every 8 or 4 hours). Scaling to 8 hours lets you compare them side by side.
How often is this updated?
Every 5 minutes, from each exchange's public API. Rates can change at every settlement, so check the exchange before you trade.
