Create a READ-ONLY API key on the exchange, paste it in Integrations and Flowsense pulls up to 90 days of closed trades, then syncs every hour.
What each exchange needs
- 1Kraken Futures: Settings → API Keys → General API Read Only, Withdrawal No access. Paste the public and private key. Multi-collateral perpetuals (PF_) are journaled; Kraken's fills carry no fee, so P&L is before fees.
- 2Coinbase (Advanced Trade): Developer Platform → API Keys → Secret API key with the ECDSA algorithm and only View. Paste the key name (
organizations/…/apiKeys/…) and the whole private key. Spot fills on USD, USDC and USDT pairs become round trips; coins bought before the window aren't counted as shorts. - 3Deribit: Account → API → new key with account:read, trade:read, wallet:read. Paste the Client ID and Client Secret. BTC, ETH, USDC and USDT futures are read; coin-settled values are converted to USD at the fill price.
- 4KuCoin Futures: API Management → key with a passphrase and only General (read). Paste key, secret and passphrase. Closed USDT/USDC-margined positions come in with fees and funding already in the P&L.
- 5Gate.io: API Management → APIv4 key with Perpetual Futures: Read only. USDT perpetual position closes are synced with fees.
Kraken, KuCoin and Gate.io can't report a key's permissions, so you confirm the key is read-only when connecting. Coinbase and Deribit keys are checked automatically and refused if they can trade or withdraw.

- How often do trades sync?
- Every hour. On connect, Flowsense pulls the history shown on the card (usually the last 90 days), and you can press Sync now on the connection any time.
- Which plan do I need?
- Free includes one exchange connection, synced every 6 hours. Pro and Elite connect every exchange and sync every hour. CSV and screenshot import work on every plan.
- Can I place orders on these exchanges from the desk?
- No. They're journal-only: Flowsense reads closed trades with a read-only key and never trades on them.
