Turn on trading for a connection

Let the Trade Desk place orders through your exchange connection, with a key that can never withdraw.

Trading is a setting on each exchange connection. Turn it on and the connection's key also places the orders you confirm on the Trade Desk. Flowsense checks the key's permissions when you turn it on and again before every order.

  1. 1Connect the exchange first in Integrations if you haven't yet.
  2. 2On the exchange, give the connection's API key the permissions in the table below, or create a new key that has them.
  3. 3In Flowsense, press Enable trading on the exchange's card in Integrations. Paste the new key if you made one (and the passphrase on OKX and Bitget), then press Verify & save. On MEXC, also tick the box confirming the key can't withdraw: MEXC doesn't report key permissions.

Questions

What happens if I turn trading off?
The desk stops placing and tracking orders on that exchange and the connection goes back to read-only syncing. Orders already on the exchange stay there. Make the key read-only again on the exchange, or delete it.
Why does OKX use cross margin?
Cross margin works in every OKX account mode, so orders behave the same for everyone.
